Origin
A new kind of automotive company.
IM Motors was set up so that vehicle engineering, digital intelligence and connected cabin technology are developed together from the first day of a programme rather than combined at the end. The backing of an established vehicle manufacturer, a digital technology group and a science-park investor gives the brand engineering, software and research capability under one roof.
That structure is visible in the cars sold in Mauritius. The IM5 and the IM6 share one electrical architecture, one chassis philosophy and one cabin system, so their hardware and software behave as a single product rather than as separate parts.

Intelligent driving and sensing
A vehicle-wide sensor set feeds the driver assistance systems, so lane keeping, adaptive cruise, blind-spot monitoring and parking assistance draw on the same picture of the road instead of working in isolation.

IM Digital Chassis and electric performance
The chassis is controlled digitally: rear-wheel steering, adaptive damping and torque delivery are coordinated in software, which is what allows a long, wide car to stay agile in town and settled at speed.

Intelligent cabin and IMOS
IMOS runs the displays, connectivity and comfort functions of the cabin as one system, with over-the-air updates so the car continues to gain capability after delivery.

Universal Motors Ltd is the official distributor of IM Motors in Mauritius. Sales, delivery, servicing and warranty support for the IM5 and the IM6 are handled locally, so the brand's ownership commitments are met on the island.
